On August 10, nearly 100 bachelors and masters in nuclear technology, electrical and electronic equipment, applied information . participated in the work in the atomic energy industry. This is the first time the Institute of Atomic Energy has organized enrollment for long-term training of human resources for the industry.
After taking the English test and specialized oral exam, about 20 people will join the long-term training course for 9 months (6 months of theory study and 3 months of direct study). These winners will be signed a term labor contract with the Institute of Atomic Energy, fully covered during the training period.
After 9 months of study, the Institute will select personnel to sign a long-term contract, some people with "outstanding" achievements will be sent to study abroad in 2008.

Those trained in atomic energy will be human resources in research work, and will also support human resources for other applications such as medical radiation facilities, industry and geography. oil and gas .
This long-term training will be held annually. Previously, there were two short-term training courses for Vietnamese officials organized by the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute in collaboration with Japan Atomic Industry Forum and Vietnam Electricity Corporation.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Vuong Huu Tan, Director of the Institute of Nuclear Energy said, for a long time, the Institute has not recruited staff, so the average life expectancy is now 47-48 years, every year dozens of cadres retire. Meanwhile, the upcoming human resource demand of Vietnam atomic energy industry is huge.
Also according to Director Vuong Huu Tan, in the 1970s, entering the nuclear industry were excellent students but after the country opened, the industry was not interested, did not attract good students to study, The facility is poor in both material and training staff, so the quality of the output is limited.
Currently, the Atomic Energy Institute is proposing to set up a training center for nuclear personnel to provide human resources for the country.
