Beijing reduced more than 1,000 polluting enterprises
Beijing city government announced yesterday that it will force 1,200 businesses that pollute the environment to stop working to improve air quality.

The Beijing authorities' decision was made after urgent public opinion of the frequent situation of dirty air covering the city, AFP reported. Sometimes the dirty air becomes so thick that the planes and ships cannot go or enter Beijing. People worry that air pollution will have a negative impact on their health.

Beijing's Environmental Protection Department has said it will death 1,200 high-level environmental pollution facilities - including chemical plants, furniture factories and metal foundries - from now on. 2015.
