Beware of fake Google emails
Security firm SurfControl has warned users of a security threat hiding under fake Google emails to spread malware.
These fake e-mails are sent from "Google Team" announcing the release of Google Pharmacy service.
When users click on the link in the email, it will take them to an online pharmaceutical business website. But in fact that site contains two malware that are ready to "parachute" into the user's system.
SurfControl said email uses a Google navigation tool to hide dangerous websites.
Path coding techniques are also used here to help make "invisible" malicious websites along with a display frame of Google Pharmacy banner ads.
