Blind cure by sunlight
This device is able to turn sunlight into nerve impulses around the eyes through special silicon glasses placed in the eye.
'It acts like a solar panel on the roof, with the ability to turn light into electricity, directly into the retina, while previous implant devices had to transmit bulky light'. , Daniel Palanker, PSG. Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University (USA) said.
This new device system is simplified by James Loudin and colleagues at Stanford University by the process of transmitting images directly to the eyes of patients. With the power of light, the implants of this device will produce images with higher resolution than current implant devices.
The new study is published in Nature Photonics. Currently, it is being developed at Stanford University.
