Blu-ray player appeared after much delay

HD DVD devices have been sold in the market for months, but the competition for DVD technology is now really open. Samsung's Blu-ray player is available at many retailers in the US, although the official release date is June 25.

This device displays high definition 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixel) video via HDMI connector. However, it also applies a number of customizable DVD methods to display on HDTV.

In addition to Blu-ray discs, the BD-P1000 can also read many other formats such as CD, DVD-RAM, DVD ± R and DVD ± RW. In addition, Samsung has added a memory card reader capable of projecting JPEG images taken with digital cameras in HD format on a high-definition TV. The Samsung BD-P1000 will first be sold in the US for $ 999.99.

In April, Toshiba surpassed the Blu-ray support group when it quickly released the first HD DVD player in the world, called HD-XA1 and HD-A1. Samsung's products have a more impressive design than the HD-XA1 with luxurious black and remote controls that are quite responsive.

There are currently no more than 30 titles for HD DVD in the market and it is expected that by the end of this year there will be about 50 more movies. In contrast, Samsung claims more than 200 Blu-ray movies are prepared to ship.
