The Hospital's doctors in Temuco were very careful during the last pregnancy ultrasound before bed for his mother on November 15. They discovered a 10-cm " fetus " in the baby's abdomen.
After the " pregnant boy " was born, the doctors had surgery and got pregnant out of his stomach. Dr. Maria Angelica Belmarcho, Head of the Pediatrics Department of the hospital, said this phenomenon is very rare, called " pregnancy in pregnancy ", only occurs when the mother is pregnant with twins or multiple pregnancies.
In the course of a pregnant mother, it is possible that one of the two pregnancies is suppressed by the ' brother ' and stuck inside the fetal body. And then, this " bullied " pregnancy continued to grow, though it could not be completed.
In the world, one in every 500,000 children is born with a fetus in the abdomen. So far, global statistics have nearly 90 such " pregnancy in pregnancy " cases. In Vietnam, there have been some cases discovered.
