Building a crystal tower in Russia

Norman Foster, one of the leading architects of the era, launched the world's largest construction project. Sky tower will be located in Moscow.

The building is named Crystal Island, 449 m high. When completed, it will look like a spiral tower. The foot of the tower will have a diameter of 701 m. The crystal island is estimated to cost $ 4 billion and is considered to be the world's most ambitious construction project.

The city in the tower will include 900 luxury apartments, 3,000 hotel rooms, theaters, sports complexes, cinemas, museums and an international school for 500 students, not to mention countless store number.

The crystal island will be Foster's second-scale project in Moscow, while the design of the third building will feature a volcano. Many people call this new building the Moscow Christmas tree. The skyscraper will be built about 10 km from the center of Moscow. The project is expected to be completed in 2014.
