Many schools in northeastern Bulgaria are ordered to close for days to come even though the student's holiday will end on January 7.

On the same day, the state of California (USA) continued to sink in the winter storm. According to the US Meteorological Agency, the Sierra Nevada region will be covered in 3m thick snow and rainstorms in snowstorms are likely to cause flooding as well as landslides. Many highways in northern California temporarily prohibit weekend traffic and domestic flights are canceled due to heavy snowfall and strong winds of up to 130 km / hour. Police were ordered to evacuate about 3,000 people due to the risk of flooding and landslides.

Alarm orders are issued in many counties in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura. People in many parts of southern and central California have used a lot of sand bags to build dykes at home to prevent sudden flooding. Blizzards also flooded the states in the north of the US, leaving hundreds of households in Oregon and Washington state out of power.
