'Business innovation in the period of WTO integration'

Above is the topic of Vietnam E-Commerce Seminar / Exhibition (Vietnam E-Business Forum - Vebiz 2007) for the first time in Hanoi on January 17-18, 2007 at Hanoi Tower, 49 Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi.

The opening event for these 2007 e-commerce events was jointly organized by the E-Commerce Department, the Ministry of Commerce and International Data Group IDG.

Overall assessment of this field, experts said, e-commerce in recent years has made significant changes. In the past year, the Prime Minister issued the e-commerce development master plan for the period of 2006-2010, the National Assembly passed a number of laws to support e-commerce transactions such as Electronic Transaction Law and Commercial Law (amended ), Civil Code . The number of businesses participating in E-commerce has been continuously increasing, state agencies have begun to deploy online public services to support businesses and other related services such as payment and security are also concerned by businesses, .

In the context of international economic integration, e-commerce is an essential tool in improving the competitiveness of enterprises, as well as promoting regional economic integration and general market participation speed. The determination of necessary policies, solutions and conditions for e-commerce development, finding appropriate models for e-commerce in Vietnam is becoming urgent. Moreover, raising awareness of society, encouraging application and strengthening cooperation between the public sector and enterprises in this area plays an important role in the overall development. The first e-commerce seminar / exhibition held for the first time comes from these practical needs.

The symposium will focus on discussing issues such as assessing the status of e-commerce model in Vietnam during WTO integration, policies and legal system on e-commerce, legal framework and security; information technology infrastructure serving e-commerce; examples of successful application of e-commerce, solutions for small and medium enterprises, payment systems, e-commerce services, .

The highlight of this seminar is valuable discussions of leading leaders and experts such as E-commerce Overview in 2006 by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Director of E-Commerce Department, Ministry of Trade; E-commerce for the post-WTO period in Vietnam by Dr. Le Dang Doanh, senior economist of the Ministry of Planning and Investment; Trade fraud and unfair competition in e-commerce by Dr. Dinh Thi My Loan, Director of Competition Management Department, Ministry of Trade.

In addition, e-commerce professionals, domestic and foreign solution providers will also share their experiences and comprehensive e-commerce solutions for businesses.

The exhibition will be the place for information technology enterprises to introduce, display their e-commerce products and solutions, and share the latest technology solutions and solutions from the world's leading suppliers.

The Organizing Committee estimates that there are 37 exhibitors in the country, including domestic and international solution providers, 400 participants in the workshop and more than 3000 visitors.
