Business mode of integration

Forecast of Vietnam Internet Center said in the next 3 years, the number of Internet users in Vietnam will reach about 30 million people. This is the premise for Vietnam e-commerce (E-commerce) to develop strongly in the coming year.

Competitiveness of Vietnamese business community in general is still very weak, especially small and medium enterprises. Analysis of the experts showed that, in the past, the strength of the textile and garment, leather and seafood export industries . is price and labor, now, these factors are no longer advantages. competitive again. Joining WTO, the trend of reducing import tax and gradually removing domestic goods protection barriers has created great pressure on enterprises.

The problem is that it is necessary to find new tools, new business methods to help businesses improve their competitiveness. With optimistic forecasts about the e-commerce trend in the world as well as the growth rate of Vietnamese Internet users, the E-commerce case, the Ministry of Trade (TM) believes that e-commerce will be a good tool to help businesses solve the problem. this math.

According to Mr. Tran Huu Linh, deputy director of e-commerce and commerce department, e-commerce will open opportunities for 95% of small and medium enterprises in Vietnam, especially those in remote and deep areas, lack of financial resources to take advantage of the Internet to promote, introduce, find friends, sell goods not only in the country but with the world, helping to minimize costs.

Among them, accounting for 93.8% is the website introducing the company, 62.5% is introducing products and services. While e-commerce transactions allowed to order only 27.4%, online payment only 3.2% of websites. Thus, e-commerce activities are only in the big enterprises, the majority of small businesses in Vietnam are outside the rotation of this modern business method.

In a year and a half of operation, ECVC e-commerce portal (www.ecvn.gov.vn) of the Ministry of Commerce has attracted more than 2000 member enterprises. But according to Mr. Linh, the application of e-commerce of these enterprises still has many things to discuss. As noted by ECVN management board, many enterprises do e-commerce according to the movement, although the operation of enterprises has nothing to introduce but still make websites. While many other businesses, though wishing to introduce and have invested in the website, but because there is no person in charge of updating information, the content becomes sketchy, outdated, causing sympathy to customers. Therefore, from being able to become a marketing tool for businesses, websites turn into burdens of businesses or even a bad image of IT enterprises.

However, Mr. Linh also affirmed: ' Website is only a part of e-commerce. Many businesses do not have websites still doing business well thanks to the use of electronic trading floors which are very developed in the last 2 years in Vietnam such as chodientu, ECVN . '. Notably in 2006, the number of B2B e-commerce floors (businesses - businesses) increased rapidly. But most of these floors have similar business models and are a general trading floor, very rare floor specialized in a few prestigious products and services. Mr. Linh said that the current obstacle to e-commerce is no longer the information network infrastructure because ADSL has developed very well; Vietnamese legal basis has recognized electronic information. The problem that Vietnamese enterprises are still confused is the determination of application model and how to implement it to suit each enterprise.

At the e-commerce seminar and exhibition (Vebiz) 2007, for the first time, the speakers presented many e-commerce application models in enterprises in Vietnam as well as abroad, and emphasized the importance of e-commerce. , as an indispensable mode of business integration. The seminar took place exactly when Vietnam just had a year with many meaningful events with E-commerce such as: Vietnam joined WTO, 2006 was the first year e-commerce was officially recognized by law when the Electronic Transaction Law , Commercial Law (amended), Civil Code (amended) and E-Commerce Decree take effect. It is expected that from next year, Vebiz will be held annually and is an opportunity for Vietnam E-commerce community to make general recommendations for the state management of e-commerce as well as businesses interested in applying e-commerce.
