Bobby Stoddard and his crew members in the Port of Clarks in Nova Scotia (Canada) have caught an extremely rare blue lobster. Mr. Stoddard has caught 3,000 lobsters in 33 years of seafaring, but this is the first time he has caught a green lobster.

'This is the first time I saw a lobster like this,' said Stoddard on CNN. 'My father was a lobster catcher for 55 years and he also caught a similar blue lobster 45 years ago. "

According to the Lobster Research Institute of the University of Maine (USA), the proportion of lobsters with green in nature is very rare, only 1/2 million. The lobster is green because of the mutation of the gene, which makes lobster produce too much of a special protein that makes it a different green color.

Mr. Stoddard did not know how to handle the rare blue lobster. He used to put it on an online auction as he changed his mind later. Currently, the blue lobster is still being kept in a tank at Mr. Stoddard's workplace.

'I don't know how to do this lobster. Maybe I will release it back to the sea, but I still want many people to have a chance to admire this unique creature , 'Mr. Stoddard said.
