Image of a rainbow circle taken in the space on Cottesloe beach, near Perth, Australia. According to Slate, this round rainbow phenomenon is quite rare.

'Normally when standing on the ground, the observer can only see the top above the rainbow. When viewed from the sky, the entire 360-degree circle of the rainbow is seen more commonly, 'said the US Aerospace Agency (NASA).

The round rainbow was captured by a photographer Colin Leonhardt from a helicopter, between the sun and a downpour. According to Huffingtonpost, NASA on September 30 selected a rainbow circle as an astronomical image for the day.
