Catch 150kg turtle in Quang Ninh

A 150kg turtle is caught in the net of a Quang Ninh fisherman when he is catching seafood.

According to Vu Trong Nhien, 56 years old, living in Quang Ha town, Hai Ha district, on March 20, many people dragged each other into the boat of a fisherman named Son watching the golden turtle, he was curious to go. Follow and record pictures of animals.

"At first, I guess it was a turtle, estimated to weigh about 150kg," Mr. Nhien said.

Many people were curious to see this shaggy turtle, and thought it could "bless" them, so they put a lot of money on the turtle's back.

Talking to PV, Grover J Brown of the Asian Turtle Conservation Program said the animal is a big sea turtle (Caretta caretta).

Bigger sea turtles belong to Vichong family, sea turtle set. They are distributed throughout Vietnam, concentrated mainly in Bach Long Vi island to Cat Ba. As adults, they have an average length of about 90cm. The shell of this turtle is usually reddish brown.

Big sea turtles are precious and rare aquatic species in the list of wild animal and plant species stipulated in CITES.
