Network security company BroadWeb plans to integrate Zone Defender software into Mistletoe chips from September. The company has sold products using chip-based security technology, but the cooperation with Mistletoe promises to be more effective.

A firewall software based on the power of Intel processor chips with Gbps data transfer rate (gigabit-per-second) can cost about $ 20,000. Meanwhile, Mistletoe's built-in firewall costs only about $ 1,000.

Mike Bennett, Berkeley Lab's network engineer, said: ' With a firewall, everything is like buying a car. If you spend a little money, you'll get a low effect . ' Mistletoe's technology helped them solve the problem.
