A villager said the boy bent down to the chicken coop, shouting for a long time after hearing the barking of the dog. Others said they heard the boy crying all afternoon.
The court in Jiangsu Province ruled that it was his scream that scared 443 chickens, trampling on each other and dying. The owner of the chickens asked his father to pay 1,800 yuan (3,600,000 dong) for compensation.
