How clever chimpanzees can be, in fact, science still cannot answer correctly.

Humans are still the only creatures with wisdom - high-level thinking and emotional ability. But among today's living creatures, chimpanzees and some primates such as orangutans, gorillas . are also appreciated for their intelligence.

But to what extent can they be "smart"? Certainly, it is not like the movie "Monkey Planet War" is fevering out of theaters, but chimpanzees can build a fairly organized society. And recently, scientists have announced that they even know how to play . "rock paper scissors" (also called hammer-leaf-scissors).

The research team from Kyoto University (Japan) in conjunction with Peking University (China) said that chimpanzees can learn the rules of "rock paper" - that is, they can know the win-lose relationship between the hammer, leaves and scissors. Even after practicing, they can play at the level of 4-year-olds.

More specifically, experts have taught chimpanzees to play with computers. There will be 2 "tools" on the screen, and chimpanzees must tell which side wins in accordance with the rules. If selected correctly, they will be rewarded with a winning signal, and if they are wrong, they will receive nothing.

After about 307 exercises, 5 out of 7 chimpanzees were able to guess 90% correctly. For a clearer look, watch the video below, about how cleverly selected chimpanzees are.

This study has shown how clever chimpanzees can be. In addition, experts can understand the human ability to learn in evolution.

During the experiment, the team also directed 38 children between the ages of 3 and 6, then compared with chimpanzees. Basically, children learn very quickly, only after about 5 times of practice. However, the group of children under 4 years old can only perform at the same level as chimpanzees.

"Chimpanzee's ability to learn can be comparable to 4-year-olds. This is also the age at which children can solve their problems," said Jie Gao, the head of the study.

"Research also shows that children form the ability to handle complex image problems from age. "

Of course, if you play well, we can't lose to chimpanzees. But do you remember when you knew how to play "rock paper scissors"? If it's after 4 years old, you're not chimp.
