China announced the world's most powerful supercomputer
China has successfully built Thien Ha 2 supercomputer that has twice the processing speed compared to Japanese and American products, and recent tests have proved.

Thien Ha 2 is assessed to be the market leader in supercomputer worldwide for superior processing speed for many years to come. It can perform 30.7 petaflops per second (equivalent to 30.7 million million calculations per second). While the American-made Titan supercomputer only made 17.6 petaflops per second.
Professor Jack Dongarra of Tennesses University (USA) has certified the ability of Thien Ha 2 after personally monitoring the test of information processing speed of this new computer model at the National University of Defense Technology China.

To form Galaxy 2, Chinese manufacturer Inspur has used more than 10,000 multi-core chips from Intel along with more than 3 million processing cores. With its superior configuration, this supercomputer will be used in carrier testing and, most importantly, to serve the nation's intelligence and security systems.
It can be said that the competition in the field of supercomputer manufacturing is currently being led by China. Some reports say the country will release a new supercomputer model with a processing speed of up to 100 petaflops per second in 2015.
