Chinese scientist sues the Nobel Council

A Chinese scientist filing a lawsuit for the Nobel Council awarded the 2012 Nobel Prize for Medicine to two Japanese and British scientists, ruining his reputation in the scientific world.

However, in his lawsuit, Dr. Rongxiang Xu said that he discovered the stem cell regeneration therapy in 1984, which helped 20 million burn patients in 73 countries.

Rongxiang Xu, who lives and works in Los Angeles (USA), said the Nobel Council was not fair to awarding the two scientists, destroying his reputation in the medical world.

'The purpose of this petition is to prove that the Nobel Council's judgments are completely false and unfair,' AFP quoted Rongxiang Xu in a statement.

According to AFP, Mr. Rongxiang Xu's lawsuit was filed in court in California, and the Nobel Council has yet to respond.
