Every year, the herds of zebras and antelopes face hungry crocodiles as they cross the Mara River during their migration from Tanzania to Kenya. Most of them cross the river safely, but some of the ill-fated children lie down in the river and become a meal for dozens of crocodiles.

Those scenes were recorded through the lens of Italian photographer Paolo Torchio.
