Close-up of the world's longest pedestrian glass bridge, visitors try 'thrills' when visiting
With a total length of 632m, Bach Long glass bridge is officially recognized as the longest glass bridge in the world.
Bach Long Glass Bridge was built in Son La province (Vietnam) and is about 630m long. A few days ago, a representative of Guinness World Records awarded this bridge the certificate for the longest pedestrian glass bridge in the world.
Bach Long Bridge has a total length of up to 632m, of which the part over the cliff is 290m long and the part on the cliff is 342m long. This is the fourth glass bridge in Vietnam
The width of the bridge deck is 2.4m and the part hanging on the cliff is 1.5m wide. The type of glass on the face is Saint Gobain super tempered glass of France, including 3 layers, 40mm thick
The entire cable car system is also imported from Korea, each cable car bundle has 7 strands with a diameter of 50mm each.
The bridge has two 30m high pylons that are firmly designed by experts, drilled down to a depth of 30m with a load-bearing cable.
To this glass bridge, visitors will be taken by tram to the reception area to buy tickets. After buying tickets, the staff will guide guests to go up the glass bridge. Before the experience, visitors must cover their shoes, do not hold umbrellas in their hands and do not place bags or personal items on the glass on the bridge.
Mr. Phan Chi Hieu (in Hanoi) said that when he was at the foot of the bridge, he was very eager to experience. However, when he stepped on the glass bridge, he had to fight his thoughts and asked his friend to lead him over. "I am a person who is afraid of heights, when I walked a few steps I looked down. The scenery here is beautiful but I imagined what would happen if I fell down. After being moved by my friends member, I took a deep breath, regained my composure, and crossed the bridge. This was an interesting experience," said Mr. Hieu.
In addition to experiencing walking, visitors can enjoy the natural scenery in Moc Chau. Ticket price to experience glass bridge during the day is usually 550k/1 adult, 350k/1 child. During Tet holidays, weekends, the price increase by 100k is 650k/1 adult, 450k/1 child. People with CCCD Son La, students, and people with meritorious services can reduce the ticket price on weekdays to 400,000 VND/adult and 250,000 VND/child. Children under 1m are free to visit.
The deepest point of the bridge is about 150m
Muong Mooc Cave (also known as Chim Than Cave) is located at the foot of the bridge with natural stalactites both for sightseeing and for visitors to rest after experiencing.
