The group of scientists investigated the living habits of 916 people with head and neck cancer, esophageal cancer and 2,883 healthy people.

The results found that the risk of head and neck cancer in people who drank less than one cup of coffee per day was not significantly different from those who drank a cup of coffee a day.

However, if you drink more than two cups of coffee a day, your risk of developing head and neck cancer will decrease. If you drink more than three cups of coffee a day, your risk of head and neck cancer is nearly half lower than those who drink less than a cup / day.

In addition, the study also found that among people who smoke and drink alcohol, if they drink a lot of coffee, the risk of head and neck cancer also tends to decrease. However, drinking coffee has no preventive effect on esophageal cancer.

According to other survey results, people who regularly drink coffee have a lower risk of colon cancer and liver cancer.
