Computer International Atomic Energy Agency was attacked

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on October 22 said that recently, some computers of this organization have been infected with malware. However, sensitive documents are not affected.

According to Reuters, affected computers are those located at the IAEA headquarters in the Vienna International Center (Vienna, Austria) - where officials and employees of IAEA come from many countries focused on working. Currently the IAEA has not said who is responsible in this case.

'Data from a number of USB drives of people working at the Vienna International Center are said to have been compromised ,' said IAEA spokesman Serge Gas in a statement.

'The IAEA does not believe that these drives are infected with malicious code themselves or can distribute malicious code, and there is no data from the affected IAEA system , ' Serge Gas added.

He also said that the IAEA is conducting ' all appropriate measures' to resolve the case.

The IAEA was established in 1957 with the aim of promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy and preventing the use of nuclear energy in the military. The organization currently has more than 140 member countries and holds sensitive information about its nuclear facilities.
