Congo Health Minister announces that the country has run out of Ebola outbreak after three months of outbreaks.

>>>Nigeria has escaped the Ebola epidemic

According to Health Minister Felix Kabange Numbi, since October 4, Congo has no new cases.'After 42 days of active search and inspection without discovering more Ebola patients, the Congolese government decided to declare its escape from Ebola,' Felix told reporters in the capital, Kinshasa.

The head of the health sector warns that the end of the epidemic does not mean that the dangers are completely eliminated. According to him, like other countries, Congo is still likely to be threatened by the Ebola virus raging in Africa.

The end of the notice was given 42 days after the last Ebola infection was reported in Congo. 42 days is an internationally accepted period of time for a country to declare an end to the epidemic if there are no new cases, corresponding to 2 cycles of Ebola's 21-day incubation period.

Congo is the world's first Ebola outbreak, discovered in 1976 in Zaire. The current outbreak in the Congo began in August, killing 74%, with 49 deaths out of 66 cases.

Nigeria also announced its exit from Ebola last month. The Ebola epidemic, which began in March this year, has claimed more than 5,000 lives worldwide, mostly concentrated in West African countries. One of the three heart-wrenching countries, Liberia recently announced the dismantling of a state of emergency, adding a positive sign that progress has been significantly improved.

The world also increased support to West Africa with many field treatment facilities, beds and human resources deployed in the field. The search for a specialized method for the deadly disease that is being deployed with a clinical trial in West Africa will be conducted next month.
