Researchers in Cuba will conduct clinical trials of dengue vaccine - a disease that easily becomes epidemic in Latin America.

Technology Development Manager of Havana's Center for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (CIGB), Eduardo Martinez, said CIGB scientists, along with experts from the Cuban Institute of Tropical Medicine, are studying Dengue vaccine and next year will conduct clinical trials.

Currently, this vaccine is being tested in monkeys.

According to Mr. Martinez, CIBG is conducting research on throat cancer and prostate cancer vaccines. These vaccines are in the testing phase, although the results are limited but promise to have more prospects in the future./.
