Dark chocolate reduces stress
A study conducted in the United States found that eating about 40 grams of dark chocolate every day for 2 weeks reduced the amount of stress and anxiety hormones in the body of people with high stress levels.
Sunil Kochhar and colleagues from the American Chemical Society have given scientific evidence that oxidants and other beneficial substances in dark chocolate reduce the risk factors for cardiovascular disease. High levels of magnesium in dark chocolate (410mg / 100g chocolate) have sedative and antidepressant effects, even many doctors use chocolate as a medicinal treatment for mild depression.
Studies also show that chocolate helps reduce stress, anxiety and fatigue. Dark chocolate also contains polyphenols, which are thought to improve seratonin levels in the brain. Seratonin is involved in CFS and is more likely to cause this disease.
