December: issuing regulations on online games

Yesterday, in Hanoi, the representative of the Ministry of Posts and Telematics and the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Ministry of Public Security had a meeting and reported on the development of online games in Vietnam with Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia. Khiem.

Representatives of ministries acknowledging the biggest inadequacies at present are that management has not kept up with the developments of technology and the accompanying applications, including online games. But online games are the legitimate entertainment needs of the people, so the Government will only strengthen management so as not to affect young people and social development.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem directed three construction ministries to specify the online games as well as the necessary licenses that businesses need when doing business. It is expected that this will be completed in December.
