Dell pulled out of the LCD TV market
Dell is preparing to withdraw from the LCD TV market in order to focus all resources on the PC business that is in serious decline.
This information was confirmed by Taiwanese founder and CEO Michael Dell in a speech today (June 7).
Michael Dell - CEO of Dell
Information posted on the Economic Daily said the world's second-largest PC maker will completely stop producing LCD TVs this month.
Dell spokesman said the company now sells only LCD TV products to certain markets. The strongest is still only two markets in Japan and America.
At the end of 2003 Dell officially entered the LCD TV market to diversify products. Not only Dell, but at the same time, there were many other companies entering this market. Including the giant in the field of Motorola mobile.
However, these companies mainly take products from another third-party equipment manufacturer and then attach their brands to the market. Therefore, the trend of product diversification in this way gradually lost its advantage. Some firms have abandoned their focus on core products.
