The new dinosaur is about 5 meters tall, is a member of the Triceratops family. In particular, this species has a very large nose and long front horn. Paleontologists say this is an unusual creature unlike any other species they saw before.

This dinosaur species is named Nasutoceratops, meaning 'big nose, horny face'.

Dr Mark Loewen from the University of Utah and Utah's Museum of Natural History said: 'This dinosaur makes us dizzy. We have never been able to predict a dinosaur like this. They have the longest horns, the largest nose in dinosaurs. '

Nasutoceratops species lived about 75 million years ago

Dr Loewen added that Nasutoceratops weighs about 2.5 tons, has a frill cut deep in the back of the head, so it looks scary. However, like other members in the Triceratops, Nasutoceratops only eats grass.

Nasutoceratops fossils are found near Utah's Grand Staircase-Escalante Monument. Scientists have spent years studying this fossil and have identified it about 75 million years old.
