Detecting Chinese secret works

Google's Google Earth tool has discovered mysterious structures in China's barren area, part of the Gobi desert.

Similar to the lines on Peru's Nazca plateau or the circles in the British fields, the function of the shapes in the Gobi desert is unknown. They are only about 160km away from China's space center.

On this occasion, conspiracyists argue that this may be a trail of aliens or the rest of a lost civilization.

These images again raise doubts that China is secretly building a military base or nuclear facility here.

Two of them are about 2km long, about 1km wide, looking a bit like a street map without a house. Some experts believe that large triangles are able to simulate roads in the city when China tries missiles.

The Shenzhou 7 rocket was launched into orbit in September 2008 from just a few kilometers away from these mysterious rivals.
