Archaeologists in Bangladesh said they had discovered part of the ancient citadel that originated in 450 BC (photo), including a moat around the ancient citadel along with parts of an ancient road in the Wari region, 85 km northeast of Dhaka.

Dr. S. Rahman - Head of the Archeology Department of Jahangirnagar University - said: " This ancient citadel and many weapons and supplies can help redefine the history of India. The road with the manholes shows that a very effective government has managed this stronghold, I believe that further excavation will help us find the ruins of a palace ".

According to Dr. Rahman, this stronghold can be a part of Harappan civilization (once flourishingly flourishing from 2,700 - 700 BC) and there is also a very developed trade center, which is may be a bridge between Roman civilization and South Asia.
