Many prehistoric archaeological relics in Dak Nong have similarities with the Central Highlands prehistoric archeology, widely distributed in the province.

Director of Dak Nong Museum Nguyen Anh Bang said that in this year, through the investigation process, the Provincial Museum has discovered 35 archaeological relics in Cu Jut, Dak R'lap and Dak Mil districts . Currently, excavation and collection work are being carried out at some points.

In addition, the search for historical witnesses to be able to convey or reconstruct the process of producing some ancient artifacts in the original is being carried out. At the point of village 6, Hung Binh commune (Dak R'lap district), many old stone stage artifacts were found and the early metal period.

To the new stone age, along with the revolution of stone tools with stone manipulation techniques and breeding and farming agriculture; At the same time, there are also large population centers such as the village 8 relic cluster, Chu Jut district whose main products are stone-shaped oval-shaped axes.

In village 8 A, Duc Manh commune (Dak Mil district), pieces and grinding tables were scattered in coffee fields, the survey team collected many artifacts including: stone tools chiselled old rock formations Peace; Grinding tables, stripped pieces, stone with holes, stone materials and stone stone axes and ceramic pieces, oval tools. There are also many stone cliffs, stripped and thin stones, semi-processed and medium-sized pieces of stone.

Location at Hamlet 8, Dak Wil commune, Cu Jut district, discovered some pieces of stone, stripped pieces, sandstone grinding table, stone with sandstone holes, pebble tools, sketches . Old stone relics group In Hamlet 6, Hung Binh commune, there are many rudimentary tools made from basalte stone, chopper, thick grip, the other end with sharp edges or blade edges and multi-purpose tools like hand axes and slender tools.

From the beginning of September until now, the Vietnam Institute of Archeology in collaboration with the Dak Nong Provincial Museum has organized the second excavation of the site in Hamlet 8, Dak Wil Commune, Cu Jut District, thereby discovering the collection. 40 ceramic pieces, 248 stone materials and materials during the new stone period 5,000 years ago.

Stone artifacts in the site are mostly oval and axial stone artifacts. In addition, the village 8 A in Dak Manh commune, Dak Mil district was discovered in 2005 and in 2006.

This year, the Vietnam Institute of Archeology cooperates with the Provincial Museum to organize the first excavation, also collecting more than 200 stone artifacts and thousands of stripped pieces. In the same year, the Provincial Museum also found 26 artifacts of M'Nong and E De people such as earrings, ivory, elephant hunting tools, drums, gongs, cups and bronze items.
