Discover new rare birds in India
A new species of rare bird has just been discovered in northeastern India. According to the Indian Birds bird magazine, the bird is named Bugun Liocichla and only 14 individuals exist.
Liocichla Bugun has olive coat, black head and white and black red spots on the wings.
This bird was first discovered in India by an astronomer in Arunachal Pradesh state more than 10 years ago.
Last May, Athreya Ramana astronomer found the bird in the Eaglenest wildlife reserve, also in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and it was confirmed as a new bird.
The bird researcher said that the Liocichla Bugun has a particularly close relationship with the rare bird Liocichla only seen in some mountains in central China. Liocichla is a member of the bird family called the high-pitched thrush.
