Discover the world's most mysterious pink leopard
Thanks to the hidden camera, scientists have recorded several images of this particular animal.
Recently, the scientific journal PLos ONE has published precious images to record the rare occurrence of leopard Borneo in tropical forests of the world's third largest island - Borneo (Malaysia). .
Beo Borneo has the scientific name Pardofelis badia , also known as flying cat (pink leopard) . They are the most mysterious and least known cat-like animal to date. With bright chestnut feathers, white striped tails, lots of teeth, Beo Borneo is listed as one of the magnificent cat wildlife species.
The researchers first photographed this leopard in 2003, since then, the number of images of them is only on the fingertips. Beo Borneo faces the risk of serious personal decline when it is estimated that only about 2,500 animals (2007). The main reason for the decline of individual species is because they have lost their living environment.
It was the hidden cameras randomly placed in the forest that helped scientists record this precious image
The new image collected about Borneo has shown that there are currently at least 5 rare and precious cats living on the island of Borneo. The other four species are leopard leopard Borneo (scientific name Neofelis diardi), leopard cat (scientific name Prionailurus bengalensis), flat-headed cat (scientific name Prionailurus planiceps) and brocade cat (scientific name Pardofelis marmorata).
Mr. Robert Ewers from the Royal College of London, who is also in charge of the Borneo Tropical Forest Conservation Project, said: "We were surprised to see the number of Borneo bees available on the island. Borneo was heavily exploited for commercial purposes, but in theory, wild animals like Borneo will not be able to survive in such an invasive environment by humans. This image has confirmed that even large predators such as pink panther are able to survive in the penetrated forest environment. '
However, this is also a wake-up call for logging and indiscriminate oil in tropical forests like Borneo. The pink panther is still trying to survive, but their existence needs to depend heavily on the impact of humans.
