Discover three earth-like planets

A group of international experts announced the discovery of three Earth-like planets and called them bright candidates that could help find life in the solar system.

According to a study published in the May 2 issue of Nature, three planets are located 39 light-years from Earth. They are about the same size as the earth, can live and close enough to the earth's atmosphere to be able to conduct analysis with current technology.

"This is the first opportunity to search for chemical traces of life outside the solar system , " said astronomer Michael Gillon, head of the research team.

According to AFP, Gillon and his colleagues calibrated the TRAPPIST telescope in Chile to track dwarf stars, not large enough or hot enough to be seen with optical telescopes.

After a period of observation, they detected the infrared signal of the dwarf TRAPPIST 1 , about the size of an eighth of the Sun and significantly cooler, steadily fading over time - a sign of things in orbit. The results of the analysis help the expert group claim that this is an exoplanet, or a planet orbiting stars outside the solar system.

"Until now, the existence of" red worlds "around dwarfs is only theoretical, but now, they have not only one lonely planet, but three," said co-author rescue Emmanuel Jehin said.

With the size and distance of the host star today, all three planets can survive areas with the right temperature to maintain liquid water and life. The fact that the planets are near the earth will help scientists easily study their atmosphere and composition.
