When studying in the laboratory, Klaus said that the bodies were cut off while still in their unbroken state, so the images of the cuts were very sharp.

According to archaeologist Haagen Klaus of the Utah Valley University, the Sicán are not aggressive people. Sicán had a developed commercial economy, formed a strong empire, reached its peak in 1000, with a vast range of thousands of miles from Ecuador and Peru.

Klaus speculates that the dead in this hole could be from a local community participating in the ritual of death in order to have a new life in the world. Sicán is holy land, and religious ceremonies related to ancestor worship appear there.

Unlike other burial sites of Sicán people, at this tomb, the bodies are arranged in various positions, people are stretched straight, people are folded their arms and legs, and others can folded, laid face down.

In addition, archaeologists also found in the tomb many corpses of monkeys, turtles, bears . and some other items. Previously, researchers also discovered graves near the pyramid, burying many precious metals.
