According to researcher Yoon On-Shik of Gimhae National Museum, this is an important discovery not only for Korea but for world archaeologists.

This paddle was found in Changnyeong area, about 240 km southeast of Seoul. Due to being in mud layers, the paddle with a length of 1.81 meters is not rotted by oxidation.

Mr. Yoon On-Shik said Korean scientists will be confronted with the ancient instruments discovered by Chinese archaeologists to verify whether this is one of the oldest boat tools. found in the world or not.
