On September 30, scientists said one of the largest ever dinosaur footprints was discovered in the Gobi desert of Mongolia.
This discovery opened up a new clue to the giant animal that once ruled Earth millions of years ago.

A group of researchers from Japan and Mongolia discovered giant dinosaur footprints of 1.06m long and 0.77m wide in Mongolia's vast Gobi desert.
According to team members from Japan's Okayama University of Science, this footprint may be a long-grained Titanosaur dinosaur, whose body is more than 30 meters long and 20 meters high.
These large fossils were discovered in August at the geologic layer in the desert formed 70-90 million years ago in the late Cretaceous.
Okayama University of Science participating in research with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences said it was a rare discovery because the fossil footprint was kept in very good condition with the marks of the nail.
Now scientists are reviewing the area to look for other dinosaur fossils.
