Discovered new dinosaurs, dating back 200 million years
Swiss and British paleontologists have discovered new plant-eating dinosaurs, who lived in Venezuela during the early period of the Jurassic period about 200 million years ago.
This new dinosaur species is scientifically named Laquintasaura venezuelae , belonging to the ornithischians.

This is the first dinosaur found in the north of South America. Scientists assume that at that time the area was vast deserts.
These fossil bones, of at least four Laquintasaura venezuelae, were collected from the La Quinta Formation in the Venezuelan Andes region.
This dinosaur is about the size of a small dog, about 1 meter long and they move with their hind legs.
Sci-News added that this dinosaur lives in small groups. Traces on teeth show that they not only eat grass but also eat insects and some other small prey.
The discovery of the fossil of Laquintasaura venezuelae contributed significantly to researchers' literature when they learned about the evolution of dinosaurs in general.
