These fossil-preserved fossil eggs were found in South Africa in 1976.

Researching the eggs, researchers led by Robert Reisz of the University of Toronto Mississauga in Canada identified the fetuses as the oldest known species among the vertebrate animals. Show on Earth.

These embryonic eggs are from Massospondylus - thought to be the ancestors of the dinosaur family including the long-necked dinosaur named Brontosaurus .

Massospondylus belongs to the family of prosauropods , the ancestor of the sauropods - a large four-legged dinosaur with a long neck.

Professor Reisz said: ' Prosauropods were the first dinosaurs to evolve into many branches and they quickly became the fastest evolutionary group. Therefore, the biological characteristics of this species are quite interesting as they develop in many directions at dusk of dinosaurs. '

By studying these 8-inch dinosaur embryonic skeletons, scientists say they are almost about to be born - but unfortunately they never get that chance.
