Discovered the ancient tomb of the 5th Pharaoh dynasty

Egypt has found an ancient tomb of the Princess of the Fifth Pharaoh dynasty (about 2,500 BC) in the area of ​​Abu Sir, 25 km south of Cairo.

Mohamed Ibrahim, the minister of ancient Egyptian heritage, said it was the tomb of Princess Chert Nebiti.

In the foyer of this tomb there are four stone columns carved with hieroglyphs bearing the name and titles of the princess.

The tomb was discovered by the ancient writing research group of Charles University of the Czech Republic. In addition, the experts found a corridor in the southeast of the grave lobby, on which there were 4 paths leading to 4 other graves. Two of the 4 graves are of the Varaohs' V dynasty and the other two graves are being excavated.

In addition, there are four large limestone sarcophagi in the corridor, which have many statues, including a father and son statue.

More than 2km north of the site, scientists also found many other graves not belonging to the royal lineage. According to Minister Ibrahim, this discovery marks the beginning of a new era in the history of the Fifth Pharaoh dynasty.
