German astronomers have found a planetary system like the Solar System, with rocky planets in the interior and gas planets outside .

A team of Göttingen University experts discovered GJ676A, the name of the planetary system mentioned above. It has two rocky planets near the star and two planets in the farther position. In the solar system, four rock planets are closer to the sun than four planets. However, GJ676A is many times larger than the solar system. The smallest stone planet in the GJ676A has four times the mass of the Earth, National Geographic reported.

The long trajectory of planets in the GJ676A and the short orbit of rocky planets is the reason astronomers call it the "twin version of the solar system."

Recently astronomers have also discovered many other planetary systems. For example, HD10180, the name of a planetary system, has nine planets around a star. This is the most planetary system that humans have ever discovered.

However, the HD10180 has only planetary gas and they are relatively close to the star. In contrast, the GJ676A has both planetary and rocky onions.

'A gas planet of GJ676A revolves around the star for 4,000 days, ' said Guillem Anglada Escude, a postdoctoral fellow at Göttingen University.
