Discovering many strange plants in Thanh Hoa

Many new and strange plant species that have never appeared have just been published in Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, Thuong Xuan mountainous district (Thanh Hoa) on October 8.

According to Xuan Lien Nature Reserve staff, in the investigation and listing of forest flora and fauna in this nature reserve, scientists discovered many new plant species here.

Among them is a new, unrecognized plant in the world, named Aristolochia xuanlienensis by scientists, named after Aristolochiaceae, named after the sampling site at the reserve. Xuan Lien nature.

After a period of research, scientists came to the conclusion that the specimens of this newly discovered plant are new to the world, belonging to the Aristolochia genus.

Currently the standard samples of this new plant species are being kept in the plant specimen room of the Institute of Ecology and Vietnam Biological Resources, accompanied by a sample for molecular biology research.

In addition, in the course of investigating biodiversity for many months, scientists have also discovered three species of plants that have not been recorded in Vietnam, including: Vertical standing (scientific name Lindernia megaphylla PC ), White hydrophyte (Kailarsenia lineata R.Br) and Song purple violet (Didymocarpus pupureobracteatus Smith).

The discovery of new plant species is important in supplementing the biodiversity of Vietnam and the world.
