Discovering new fish species in the Atlantic Ocean

Marine biology researchers describe this as a completely new coral fish in the small archipelago of coral fishes located 940km south of the Brazilian coast.

The scientific name of the newly discovered fish is the Aphrodite Tosanoides. When the new species was discovered, the scientists were also surprised why it was so prominent that it is still not on the list of named fish in the world.

Marine biologists from the California Science Institute (USA) describe it as a completely new coral fish in the small archipelago coral population, located 940km south of the Brazilian coast.

The newly discovered coral fish lies in the lack of light, surprising the biology researchers.

Researchers believe that the 'home' of this fish may be in a rather special position in the middle of the Atlantic ocean equator, making it difficult for researchers to access and even 'ignore' it . However, just for the first time, the scientists could not ignore the glamor of this fish.

'This is one of the most beautiful fish I've ever met. Its color really fascinates everything around it , 'said Luiz Rocha, a researcher at the California Institute of Science.

Facing the impressive beauty of the newly discovered fish, the researchers named the new fish associated with the goddess Aphrodite, Greek: the god of love, beauty.

With special colors, marine biologists think that this is not the only fish in the dark sea with special colors.

Besides, a special feature of this fish is in the depth it is found. This is a deep sea area of nearly 130m, where there is very little light. At this depth, it is common for fish to have such bright colors.

'Usually the color of the fishes will be related to the climate, the geographic location it inhabits. The color that the new fish possesses is blue and red, which is really difficult to understand , 'said Hudson Pinheiro, one of the researchers.

With this finding, scientists believe this fish is just one of many undiscovered species in the shadow of coral reefs.
