Recent studies show that Vietnam is considered a central area of species belonging to the genus of forest garlic, clearly showing the diversity and formation of new species.

Currently, Hon Ba garlic garlic is being tested in the Southern Institute of Ecology and the research group from the Botanical Garden of Prague (Czech Republic) has also sampled this species in Europe.

However, Hon Ba forest garlic is a plant under the shade of the forest so it can be extinct very quickly once the upper layer of the forest, large timber trees are broken due to exploitation or natural disasters, then the forest canopy is destroyed. cancel.

Scientists of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences propose to include this new species in the list of rare and precious species that need to be protected.
