Scientists in the United States discovered a fish

Scientists in the United States found a "step" fish with pectoral fins and their skin color changed constantly during growth.

A small, remote-controlled submarine of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, the US discovered that fish migrated with new pectoral fins. This fish was discovered near the top of a volcano that stopped working at a depth of more than 3,300 meters near the California state coast. It is a species of finfish Chaunacops coloratus .

Interestingly, the big fish have pink skin, while the smaller ones have blue skin. Their maximum length is about 20cm, and the minimum length is 7cm.

When born, the finfish Chaunacops coloratus are only transparent larvae. Then their skin color changes constantly during development. Adults possess pink skin.

A Chaunacops coloratus fish lurks among stones to prey on prey. All species of pompano do not like to move much. They often lie in one place waiting for their prey to get close. After the discovery of the bait, the finfish slowly approached by pushing the pectoral and pelvic fins to the bottom. In addition, they can swim like other fish by flipping their tail fins.
