According to Dailymail , there are about 150,000 people suffering from strokes each year and 53,000 of them die. However, it is less noticeable that about 50,000 people have a mild stroke each year.

There are many clear signs of stroke such as paralysis on the face, hands or feet and stuttering. But there are also signs that are hard to detect.

Warning signs may include temporary loss of vision due to blood clots moving through the retina. People often ignore these mild strokes.

However, according to Dr. Sharlim Ahmed, director of the UK Stroke Prevention Fund: "This is an emergency. Dr Sharlin Ahmed, a stroke specialist, said: "People aged 40, 50 or even 30 often ignore mild strokes - a warning sign for severe strokes that are about to appear. Even health professionals sometimes ignore mild, hard-to-detect strokes, often related to balance and vision.

A mild stroke will not cause lasting damage, but diagnosing them helps prevent more serious strokes later. Dr Ahmed said, "If we detect warning signs early, we can prevent 10,000 strokes a year in the UK."

Your doctor may prescribe antihypertensive or blood thinning medication. Patients are also encouraged to eat healthier, exercise and reduce salt intake.
