Do not bring your phone into the toilet

Carrying your phone into the toilet will turn your device into a mobile disease-filled home with bacteria, even waste.

Most of us used to bring our phones to the bathroom to read newspapers, check mail or simply access social networks. In fact, this habit hides countless dangers and is easy to get you infected, BuzzFeed reported.

" The toilet is full of bacteria, mainly from the intestinal tract and faeces, " said microbiologist Charles Gerba of the University of Arizona (USA). According to him, the dirtiest surfaces include door handles, toilets, faucets and floors.

Pathogens that can spread from the toilet include norovirus, E.coli, salmonella, shigella, hepatitis A, methicillin-resistant staphylococcus, streptococcus, and even the common cold. Urine also spreads pinkeye or respiratory infections. At home, we control the amount of bacteria by cleaning and disinfecting regularly and for public toilets, this is beyond your means. In particular, if using an exhaust hose to wash the enclosed area, water and waste will be shot everywhere. As a result, the toilet became more and more dirty, especially toilet paper rolls because it is located right next to the toilet.

In order to stay healthy, you have to wash your hands every time you go to the bathroom, but sadly not everyone does it all the time. Sometimes, users of the front toilet do not wash their hands, leaving bacteria on the doorknob, faucet. If you touch these things and put them on your face, nose, mouth, eyes, you will definitely get sick.

Carrying the phone into the toilet is like going out without washing your hands. Every time you put the device somewhere in the toilet, you create the opportunity for the pathogen to attack you by anyone who knows what others have put there. Not to mention, even though no one is eating and drinking in the toilet, it is not uncommon to eat and press the phone after bringing it to the toilet, resulting in bacterial germs coming straight into the mouth. The University of Arizona study found 9 out of 10 potentially mobile phones and 16% of tested devices showed signs of feces.

Phones are easy to become mobile diseases that threaten your health and those around you. Think again if the next time you're going to bring your phone to the toilet. Ideally, you should only use the toilet for its own purpose.
