To limit milk poisoning, Dr. Tien recommends that parents should choose milk from a reliable source, quality tested, with a long expiry date, and with a safety stamp. In addition, depending on the child's milk consumption level, you can choose a small 450g box to use for about 1-2 weeks. For older children, if using 900g milk in large quantities, it should be used for about 2-4 weeks or as recommended on the packaging. Should not be used longer than 4 weeks after opening the box.

"Some signs of contaminated milk that parents need to pay attention to are lumps, loss of smoothness, discoloration .", the doctor shared.

According to recommendations of the Food Quality Management Department, Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Management Board, when buying canned, packaged milk and dairy products., we need to pay attention to production time or expiration date. In addition, you also need to look carefully to make sure the product's packaging is intact, not dented, bulging, rusty, or has dents.
