Sharing about this skin rejuvenation secret, BSCK2 Tran Vu Anh Dao, Department of Skin Aesthetics - Dermatology Hospital (HCMC), said that if you soak your face directly in ice water, it can cause frostbite, contact dermatitis, heat urticaria.

"Soaking your face in cold water (10-15 degrees Celsius) will help tighten pores, reduce sebum, and stimulate skin circulation. However, this method only has a temporary effect. The changes in your skin after soaking your face in cold water are due to the effect of the skin being exposed to cold temperatures, and have absolutely no long-term effect" - Dr. Dao said.

Another benefit of soaking your skin in cold water is that it helps reduce inflammation and swelling. In addition, when you are stressed, you can soak your face in cold water to stimulate the happy hormone endorphin under the skin.

However, you should note the following issues : Use clean water; do not soak directly if you have open wounds, severe inflammation or irritation; combine with moisturizing after soaking to prevent dry skin. In particular, the frequency of implementation is 10-15 seconds/time, no more than 1-2 minutes in total, 2-3 times/week, should not be abused.

According to Dr. Dao, up to now, there has been no research proving that soaking your face in ice water will help rejuvenate your skin. Depending on each skin type (dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, etc.), there will be a suitable skin care method.

"To have beautiful skin, you must have healthy skin. Therefore, when you notice skin diseases, you must go to the hospital for examination and appropriate treatment. In particular, you need to consider before applying beauty tips on social networks" - Dr. Dao warned.
