On average, the sperm density of these guys is 30% less than men who do not drink cola. Thus, in theory, they will be at higher risk of infertility.

According to the research team, there is no possibility that this relationship is due to caffeine - because coffee, despite its higher caffeine content, does not have the same effect, instead, they think other ingredients In this drink or unhealthy lifestyle is the culprit.

Kold Jensen, the lead researcher, said that so far only a few studies have investigated the effects of caffeine on men's fertility. However, participants are often a specific selected group - such as infertile men - and therefore the results are often controversial.

Therefore, Danish scientists have studied on a larger scale and object, with about 2,500 participants. They found that those who did not drink cola had better sperm quality - an average of 50 million sperm per milliliter of semen, and tended to live healthy.

In contrast, 93 men drank more than one liter of cola per day, only 35 million sperm per milliliter of semen. However, this group also eats much faster food, less fruits and vegetables.

According to the Telegraph, when studying caffeine from other sources, such as coffee or tea, the team noted very little sperm loss.

Experts will have further research on this issue in the future.
